WATER AND SANITATION

The highest priority for ROP’s Water and Sanitation programme is improving and optimizing access to safe water and helping provide adequate sanitation to all.

HEALTH

The goal of ROP’s health programme is to achieve sustainable improvements in health status among vulnerable groups, especially the geographically remote, women of childbearing age, the old and children.

EDUCATION

ROP recognizes the urgent need to improve on the quality of education through strengthened management and improved resource utilization. Education, particularly education of girls and women, facilitates improvement of human development, such as better health and nutrition for children.

AGRICULTURE

Encouraging production, consumption and marketing of indigenous vegetables is now a major activity of ROP. It seeks to address food security, micronutrient deficiency and at the same time boosts family income.

GENDER AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

The main objective of this project is to increase the level of women's access to and control of economic resources. It seeks to achieve this through research and advocacy as well as encouraging increased access to credit, land and agricultural extension services.
